Save the Children in Sherborne Receives Cheque from Candlelight Care
The Sherborne branch of Save the Children has received a cheque from Candlelight Care for £61.50.
The money was raised in December and is a combination of the proceeds of a raffle held at Candlelight Care’s Client Christmas Party, and the staff participation in ‘Christmas Jumper Day’ the following week.
The cheque was presented by Lorna Kent, Registered Manager of Candlelight Care in Sherborne (pictured, left), and Amanda Bartlett (pictured, right), and was accepted on behalf of Save the Children by Jackie Brownjohn MBE (pictured, centre), who set up the Sherborne Branch of Save the Children 32 years ago.
Lorna Kent, Registered Manager of Candlelight Care in Sherborne, said, “Save the Children is a wonderful charity and we are delighted to support it through community activities such as our Client Christmas Party.”
Thank you to everyone who donated and supported our fundraising.
