Our Live-In Care Services

Facing the loss of independence at home can be frustrating and frightening for everyone involved. It can lead to difficult decisions for families when someone you care about wants to remain independent, but they are struggling with simple household tasks and taking care of themselves at home.

While a residential home might be the right answer for some, it does not suit everyone. At Candlelight Care, we can provide another option with our Homecare or Live-In Care Services. Giving you, or your loved one, a choice to avoid the distress and disruption of moving away from the comfort of home.

Live-In Care is a good alternative to residential care when, for whatever reason, people are not able to live safely and independently at home. We have experience providing live-in care for a multitude of situations, both long and short-term.

Whether you have on-going care requirements, a family carer who needs a break, or you need that extra bit of support during recovery from illness or an operation, Candlelight Care can work flexibly with you to find the right care for you.

With Live-In Care, a fully trained, professional carer stays with you in your home to provide constant care and companionship. Having a live-in carer avoids all the distress and disruption of moving away from similar surroundings, meaning you can remain in the home you know and love.

The Benefits of Live-In Care

  • Keep your independence by staying in your own home.
  • You’ll gain a companion as well as a one-to-one carer.
  • Couples can remain living together, plus you won’t move away from family pets.
  • Peace of mind for everyone involved that your trained Live-In Carer is always at hand.

Whilst the cost of Live-In Care may be comparable to residential care, the one-to-one care offered by a Live-In Carer is something that a residential home, however good, simply cannot match.

Our Live-In Carers can help and support with:

Personal Care

This is the everyday things we need to do to take care of ourselves and get ready for the day ahead. Your Live-In Carer can support you with getting up, toileting, washing, dressing, overseeing medication, and so on.

Companionship

You’ll gain a companion as well as a skilled one-to-one carer. Whatever you’d like to do, your Live-In Carer can come along to keep you company. This includes anything from watching TV together, to your new hobby, or just someone with you to make sure you get to your appointments safely.

Practical Support

Your Live-In Carer can help you with the basic housework around your home. This would cover everyday things such as laundry, cooking, shopping, caring for pets and running errands.

Candlelight24 acts as an agency to introduce professional, self-employed Live-In Carers to clients,
who move into the home to provide the help and support required. Please find details of our Live-In Care Privacy Statement here.
