Specialist Help from our Trained Professionals
At Candlelight Care, we have care staff that have received additional training to gain the necessary knowledge and expertise to provide Special Care to people in their own homes. We can offer help and support to people with more complex needs, such as stroke, Dementia (and related diseases), MS, Parkinson’s and end of life (palliative care).
Recovery from a stroke can feel like an uphill climb; it’s a slow, gradual process and most people will not be fully recovered by the time they leave hospital. In the short-term, a person might be entitled to help from the community or district nurse. We can provide extra assistance during their visits, or once their care ends. We can help with basic everyday tasks, such as personal care or practical support, as well as assisting with any exercises for on-going rehabilitation.
If you or a loved one is going through Stroke rehabilitation at home, we can take away the hassle of your everyday tasks and let you focus on the recovery process.
Living with Dementia is life-changing, and as the condition progresses, a person may become increasingly dependent on others for their care.
At Candlelight Care, we understand Dementia can leave a person feeling confused and vulnerable; a change of their everyday routine or home environment could cause distress.
If staying at home helps them to feel safe and secure, our experienced carers can support them, at a practical level, to remain independent and comfortable in their own home.
Palliative Care (End of Life)
At Candlelight Care, we can provide support for people who have chosen to be at home in the last days of their life. We can take care of the day-to-day tasks, so you can focus on sharing your time with those who are important to you.
We can help you and your loved one in a variety of different ways, including everyday household duties, personal care, or simply providing companionship and moral support. Where health needs are more complex and require specialist care, we will work with other health professionals to ensure the best quality of care.
