Taking care of yourself doesn't mean me first, it means me too
Caring for a family member or friend can fill up your days and spend your energy, so taking time for yourself is vital for your health and wellbeing. That’s why we offer professional and qualified staff who can step in and give you time to recharge your batteries with our Respite Breaks for Carers.
Whilst you’re having a break, someone from our reliable teams comes to look after your family member or friend in their own home, with a minimum of disruption to them. This might be for an hour or two whilst you take a short break, a day, overnight, or even whilst you take a longer holiday.
Respite breaks can be a regular arrangement or a reliable back-up in case of emergency.
- Hourly visits: We can stop by for an hour or two to give family carers a break as and when they need. This is suitable for most everyday situations and can be a regular arrangement.
- Night respite visits: One of our care staff will stay overnight and to provide whatever assistance or monitoring might be required. Read more about our night services here.
- Live-In care: One of our professional, self-employed carers moves into your home to provide whatever extra help and support is required (for a minimum period of three consecutive days).
Free training for family carers
As a family-run and person-centred company, we recognise the essential role that family members can play in the health and wellbeing of our clients, particularly regarding discomfort or embarrassment during personal care.
We are proud to offer our clients’ families and family carers the opportunity to attend any of our training and development course days, free of charge. This enables us to work in partnership with family carers to ensure we all provide the best possible care for our clients.
