Supporting you and your family through your recovery
Being a parent to your children doesn’t stop when you need care or help. There are times when parents or guardians struggle to cope with family responsibilities due to an illness, an accident or whilst recovering from surgery. If you find yourself unable to do everyday tasks for your children, don’t worry! Our Care teams can lend a hand to support you and them, whilst you focus on your recovery.
As with all our services, the help we can offer you is flexible and can be tailored to fit your situation. Our staff understands that they are often helping during challenging times, for both you and your children. They are fully trained to support children, young people and parents in the most sensitive way possible.
Our Care teams can help with:
- Getting the Children ready for school
- Bathing them and putting them to bed at night
- Getting them to after-school activities or other commitments
- Shopping, or preparing their meals
- All the things you would do without a second thought if you were fit and well.
We are approved by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to provide any of our services to children and have over 30 years of experience providing care and support to people of all ages in their own homes.
Candlelight Care staff who work in this area receive specialist child protection training and have an enhanced check using the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). This service prevents unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups, including children and replaces the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA).
We have a safeguarding children policy in place, which is available to any prospective client.
