"I really couldn't be without them. It is lovely to have a carer, they do help you".

What is Reablement?

The Borough of Poole and Bournemouth and Poole NHS have defined reablement as the provision of an intensive period of support for up to six weeks to enable an individual aged 18 or over to regain or maintain skills to enable them to continue living independently in the community.

It is a philosophy and approach to help people regain the skills, confidence and independence they need to ‘do things for themselves’ rather than ‘having things done for them’.These skills may have been lost due to medical, illness or other conditions and our Reablement teams will be responsible for helping people to achieve their life goals, including encouraging them to participate in activities both inside and outside their home.

An Afternoon To Remember

Some of our clients, singing along to songs from the 50's.

"I cannot speak highly enough of the carers who come to me. I would be completely devastated and lost without them. It's so nice to have the same girls regularly, I feel so comfortable with them. Thank You"
