"I really couldn't be without them. It is lovely to have a carer, they do help you".

Recovering from a Stroke

Recovery from a stroke can be a long, slow and gradual process and most people will not be fully recovered when it’s time to leave hospital.

They are likely to need ongoing rehabilitation at home and this can be a daunting time, not only for the person who has had the stroke, but for the person who is caring for them.

After the initial recovery from a stroke, improvements are gradual and this can be frustrating for everyone.

Caring for someone who has had a stroke is physically and emotionally demanding. Help may be needed with even simple tasks like washing and dressing. There may be difficulties in understanding and communicating, depression and mood swings.

An Afternoon To Remember

A big thank you to Wells Evening Society who provided a wonderful afternoon for some of our clients in the Glastonbury area, by treating them to a trip down memory lane and a delicious home-made tea.

"I cannot speak highly enough of the carers who come to me. I would be completely devastated and lost without them. It's so nice to have the same girls regularly, I feel so comfortable with them. Thank You"
