  Domiciliary care (also known as home care) is a range of care services you can receive in your own home, to help you cope with disability or illness, and to become or remain independent for as long as possible.

• Domestic Services
  
  

  Helping around the home to make life easier - from cleaning including vacuuming and dusting, washing, ironing, shopping, and dog walking. In some areas we can offer hairdressing at home, and also a handyman service for simple gardening, painting, and odd jobs.

• Live-in Care
  
  

  Live-in carers can be provided for any period, from as little as one week to a more or less indefinite period. A live in carer will, if you wish be your companion, provide domestic help and personal care.

• Complex Health Care
  
  

  For example palliative care in the last period of life.

• Direct Payments
  
  

  Candlelight can help you get care through the Direct Payments Scheme - money provided by Social Services for you to buy the care services you have been assessed as needing.
