19/10/2011 - Outstanding Result for Dedicated Staff
We are very proud to announce that two of our dedicated and caring "behind the scenes" staff were nominated for Care Focus Somerset awards this year.
At the recent Care Focus award ceremony, Tabby Hickman won the Outstanding Contribution section and Sarah Stobart was a runner up for the Most Inspirational Individual Award.
Our managing director Liz Kirkham congratulated Sarah and Tabby and praised their dedication, hard work and professionalism. “They are both great ambassadors for Candlelight and the work they do to co-ordinate operations behind the scenes is vital to our clients and our company,” she said.
The office staff are often the unsung heroes within the care profession but the position they hold is crucial to the smooth running of the company and the care of our clients. Tabby has a great relationship with both our clients and staff and goes the extra mile at every opportunity.
She was presented with her certificate and trophy by BBC television’s Points West presenter Chris Vacher at a gala dinner at Taunton’s Wellsprings Leisure Centre and said: “I’m really thrilled to get the award, but it’s not just for me, the whole team here deserves recognition. I’m just so pleased to receive it on behalf of everyone at Candlelight.”
Sarah was a worthy runner-up in the Tim Catley-Day category which is given to the "most Inspirational Individual." Sarah has been described by one of our clients as “A ray of sunshine who always makes me laugh!”
