Time to relax

Respite breaks for carers

When you are caring for somebody else, it's vital that you also take care of yourself, otherwise you risk compromising your own health and wellbeing. That's why we offer professional and qualified staff who can step in whilst you take a break, meaning that the person you care for can stay in their own home with a minimum of disruption. This might be for an hour or two whilst you take a short break, a day, overnight, or even whilst you take a longer holiday. It can be a regular arrangement or a reliable back-up in case of emergency.

  • Hourly visits: Suitable for most everyday situations to provide whatever help is required, whether it is personal care, practical support or simply companionship.
  • Night visits: Where cover is required overnight.
  • Live-in care: Where a professional self-employed carer moves into your home to provide whatever help and support is required (for a minimum period of three consecutive days).

If you would like to know more about our respite breaks for family carers, please contact your nearest Candlelight Care office.
