Angela has been working at Candlelight Care as a care and support worker for over twenty years. After losing both her parents in 1995, she decided that she wanted to look after others. She initially took a care job with Candlelight Care as a stop-gap but found it so rewarding that she has worked there ever since.
Lorna Kent is the registered manager at Candlelight’s Sherborne branch and has had a career in care for over 20 years. She manages a team of office and care staff and is responsible for ensuring that safe, high-quality care is provided to all clients.
Becky is Candlelight Care’s training manager and is responsible for a team of staff. Despite not joining the care industry until her mid-twenties, she soon realised it was where she wanted to be and she set her sights on rapid and successful career progression.
Emily has been working for Candlelight Care since April 2015. She has already been promoted to Senior Care Worker and balances her busy working life with bringing up her two children.
Rachel, who is a wheelchair user, relies on Candlelight Care workers to help her throughout the day.
Gemma worked at Candlelight Care as a care and support worker during her gap year and university holidays.
Carmel has worked at the Candlelight branch in Uckfield for over 11 years. She used to work as a nanny but her daughter-in-law suggested a move to care. Carmel gave it a go - the rest is history!
Becky works at our Uckfield branch and has been with Candlelight for four years. She has two children, aged six and 11 months so she has had to set up a working arrangement with Candlelight that allows her to fulfil her family and work commitments.
Catherine has been working at Candlelight for around six years, and was a carer in another part of the UK before that. She used to be a teacher but moved into care when she moved to Frome.
Chloe has been working at Candlelight for around two years. She had always enjoyed caring for people, and had a Level 2 NVQ in Social Care, so decided to give it a go.
